The state is famous for its temples, including the iconic Meenakshi Temple in Madurai and the UNESCO World Heritage site at Mamallapuram. It’s also the birthplace of Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form.
Geography:
The state has a diverse geography, with the Western Ghats forming a natural boundary to the west and the Bay of Bengal to the east. It features hills, plateaus, plains, and coastal areas. The southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari, is located in Tamil Nadu.
